Teaching
LMP+ teaching focuses on the laser beam as a tool!
As part of the courses "Laser Material Processing I" and "Laser Material Processing II" (in planning), we therefore explore the possibilities and potential of laser radiation in production technology! We will take you to the current knowledge horizon, i.e. "What is the state of the art?" and "What is the state of research?". In the events, we look at and discuss what we know for sure today, what we have partially but not yet fully understood and what we do not yet know. The aim of the events is to enable you to assess the potential of laser material processing for future problems/issues and to create new knowledge or develop applications to this end. (Further information can be found in the relevant module handbooks).
As part of the course "Additive manufacturing of metallic components", we deal with the processes colloquially known as 3D printing. In contrast to subtractive/chipping, forming or joining processes, we only want to place the material directly where we want it with regard to our requirements! How do such processes work? What are the possibilities, potentials and advantages? What are the risks, limitations and disadvantages? We want to discuss these questions together, starting with the basics and ending with practical examples.
(Further information can be found in the relevant module handbooks).
Have you already taken part in one of our events? We are always happy to receive feedback and suggestions!
Of course, we also offer exciting theses with different focal points in the fields of laser material processing: Please look directly at the current calls for applications. We appreciate your interest and look forward to hearing from you!
